Early days of summer
bring heady release
caged from our slumber
stretch wide in sunlights fading
wings shake with frost
heat begins by dying
as winter counts the cost
pagan
Lost velvet kiss
Wood moans wind,
brittle amber of falls remembering,
dances then swept silent,
bright moon slips past slumber
past the hungering earth
soft crunch burns the shouting quiet
till round tension drop
and wind sorrow sings
Shaman’s Fury
storm rages
wind sweeps
lightning growls
rain pounds
rip me open
pour in your fury
stand as archetype
as avatar
deep within
without mercy
break the world
without you there is only end
Solstice
The world is turning
dipping to lowest ebb
til transition at brightest peak
my love resplendent in her power
I my weakest
the mantle passes from the hot gold fecundity of the summer moon
to the cold sharp quiescent winter sky
this would seem to paint us rivals
opposites in struggle
but
these moments of transition are the hours of our lovemaking
an epic titanic love
which seemingly makes us lonely
but there are other worlds
other transition
the bitter winter of space itself
the fierce nuclear fire of the stars
our love is the universe
our lovemaking the acts that foster change
we are love bound together
played out in dances big and small
Dance with us
Lament of rebirth
All that bleeds
All that bends
In the shadows blend
For last regrets
And times last bet
A heroes welcome lain
Welcome to
The score of souls
That I have bought and paid
Bend down my ear, you fallen shades
And whisper secrets, old
The world spins
The wheel burns
And chains that bind cast free
We in this debt
All past, regret
We forge a newer way
Birdsong cacophony
Soft cold seeping into bones
Dawn spills down the valley
Sitting in the shadow
Hearing about nesting material
About where seed was
And a truly epic amount of insults
Ritual of Winter and Summer
The blade spins round
silver flash
crimson drips like rain
hand dips into cool waters
sudden flung into night air
droplets suspend like stars
each reflect back your beauty
my goddess
you press lips
and lick my blood from blade
our joining shifts the stars
all that was and is shivers
Alchymist Rose
Spilt anger smoulder down to ember
cool rain spills
healing, seething, boiling
rekindle blaze
breeze to bonfire
snuffed out to smoke
become the wind
embrace of winter’s love
flurries fall
crystalline coherence shatters
push up and struggle
take breathe
grow heavy and substantial
future’s hope spread light
safe in the eye of the storm
He who walks between
In the darkness
comes a figure
painted in hearts blood
ancient
lashed to the past and future
suspended between all that was and all that will be
he watches from the shadows
until events are settled
then coats himself in illusion
and ventures forth
to walk a path between
looking for his love
who’ll travel with him beyond the veil
after a lifetime’s skein
mortality drips from fingertips but never touches soul
it has been pledged to service
and love he’s found in a gods embrace
but mortal heart
he searches for mortal touch
to walk hand in hand
into the space between
Illumination
I am bird and air
A Twistwind
Cool shadow and calm gaze
The shifting tide
I am beast and sound
A Fire consuming
I am moonlit night and sundappled shade
I am the twist of the hip and the dip of a shoulder
exultant Shouts defiant
I am… I AM
Tremble at my passage
Dark and terrible
Beautiful and fell
Walk, neither before or behind
Walk beside and know
