Early morning sunset casts light through water spattered glass
Diffuse light falls on skin
On hair turned honey in the dawn of the day
Sleep drifts through our window
Late nights and later meals
The rise and fall
Watching you breath feels voyeuristic
Watching as each breathe ends in a small snore
Cute kitten snores that you never believe happens
Like cats curled in the rising heat of the day
I sleep
Touching you
Making sure
you
are real
presence
Nerve endings wake
Cold shivers its way across the ridges of my spine
soft breath caresses and holds
words spoken at a volume at once too quiet and a clamor of joyous ringing
this long drawn out moment of perfection free of any thought but desire
tension falling away with a touch
And a the palpable feeling
of connection
What was may be
A Shiver crawls along
bending the soft hair
calling to the dance
a rhythm of crimson light
pulsing
…pulsing
pressure building
syllable by syllable
waking mind from slumber
..stretch muscles pulling skin
taut against soft pad of fingertips
windows peer
blue and binding
…or slip away into dust
Doors flung wide
Paralyzed by joy
Like singing birdsong from a frog’s throat
This jumbled moment second hour
Lacking only your touch
Your voice
Your you
And the swiftly building possible
Negative space
I miss the touch of your hands, even though they were only words
Only imagined
I miss the hot breathe of you against my neck, though only syllables marked your passage
I miss your moans, your cries of Sir, though simple pixels held in array
I miss you even though we never were
Tiger by the tail
Like a cat luxuriating in the sun
Rolling and purring
Kneeding and needing
Desire only grows
One word and I’m yours forever
A palpable, heavy connection
You are worth every second
