Lullaby for my Kat

Curl up beside me
My little kitty kat
The day is mostly over
It’s time that we sat back

The sun is shining on, some other person’s day
For us the night is ending
But now we know to stay
Cause arms are for the holding
And sleep draws us away
But oh,
When we are waking
Look on my face
And know
Though life can feel like breaking
I’ll be in my heart making
A place for you to stay.

Musings on a midnight clear

Do I sound like the recording of my voice?
Is that me?
Am I the man in the electronics?
I can never tell
Sometimes voice is deep and gravelly
Sometimes lighter
Full of winsome
Which is real
Or is it between
Is my voice what I hear it as?
Or what you hear it digitally reproduced as?
Are we both hearing something different?
I never thought of my voice as attractive until someone said it was.
Changing my perspective
Never having perceived it as anything
Special
That makes me think
Maybe I’m wrong about other things too
I wonder what they are
And how I will change in the future

Waveform Collapse-Audio

The audio version of Waveform collapse

Not all dreams rise(audio)

Half cast shadows shift in the broken light
Stop motion shades flit from open doorway to open doorway
Huge rusted hinges showing where vault doors once hung
Fear hangs like grease in the soft twilight air
The man shaped thing strides through his city
Draped in the cloth of forgotten night
Wet air bubbles and shifts like touching a hot skillet
The doors are open
The cane by his side bends and shifts
Once a staff, once a blade
He thirsts
But his city lays barren
Patches of green
turned brown and wilted
dot the hanging gardens
A testament to what was and what may be
In this forgotten city of memory
