Scrimshaw writ deeply
Weariness one can’t escape from
No exit, just time
haiku
End of a long day
Slipped off my shoes
Cuddling deep into soft sheets
Dreaming only you
The solemn suns dawning
At the start and what ends
What am I in this between
This gray lightless path
When quiet provides little solace
Squeezed out, lifeless
Hang on by the barest thread
Something better soon?
A breeze of embers
Sleep overtakes me
Last moment before dreams come
Extinguish the flame
Vein discomfort
Storm clouds race
Darkness screams lament
Face cold, wet
Dance the demon
Frustrated wind howls
Rain pounds down, lightning raging
Sky’s darken, I’m home
Common day laments
Sleeping in the cold
Nesting blankets keeps me warm
Wishing you were here
Sitting alone on the crumbling riverbank
Arch of Firmament
Storm clouds race the horizon
Bellwether Silence
The mundanity of desire
Storm clouds ponderous
Feel of warm bath envelop
Long to share with you
