Deep Break

There’s something broken in all of us and it’s waiting to be fed. If we are unconscious of this, we allow that broken part to choose what feeds it. Often leading to pain, fear, greed, or grasping need to seep in. It improperly seals the hurt and causes what is fed on to amplify instead of heal.

It is the first trap of sentience. We are connected but cannot feel it. Lonely in our isolation.

Or we feel that empathy but can’t turn it off. Or we supress those outside feelings in favor of a cool numbness that builds the barrier deeper until we drown in it.

We are all, in some way, a product of this fracture.
